Network Operations Center (NOC) Specialist

Job Position Description

Strong understanding of Linux and operating system concepts (LPIC1, LPIC2)

Strong understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, network protocols, switches, routers, firewalls, etc.

Experience with virtualization providers like VMware or OpenStack

Familiarity with web servers like Nginx and DNS servers

Good understanding of configuration management tools like Ansible

Familiarity with storage concepts such as hard drives, SSDs, NAS, SAN, etc.

Experience in designing and implementing NAT architecture

Familiarity with Kubernetes concepts

Familiarity with monitoring stacks like Prometheus, ELK, and Zabbix

Experience in firewall configuration and hardening

Network monitoring: Using monitoring tools to track network status, bandwidth, traffic, device performance, and services

Event response: Analyzing and responding to system alerts, security events, network errors, and issues

Troubleshooting and problem resolution: Identifying and resolving network issues quickly and effectively

Change management: Planning and implementing network changes with minimal service disruption

Documentation: Preparing technical documentation for network configurations, workflows, and resolved issues

Collaboration with other teams: Working with development, security, and support teams to resolve complex issues
