Proficiency in Linux operating systems

Proficiency in networking concepts

Proficiency in Clustering, Sharding, and HA Proxy concepts

Experience with logging and monitoring systems like Prometheus, ELK Stack, Sentry, Zabbix

Experience with virtualization tools in operational environments like ESXi, vCenter

Proficiency in basic networking concepts like TCP/IP, DNS, SSL, WAF, and firewalls

Familiarity with API Gateways and experience with Nginx

Proficiency in Configuration Management concepts and Ansible

Familiarity with storage concepts and types

Experience with server virtualization

Experience implementing NAT

Proficiency and relevant experience with orchestration systems

Experience with monitoring/logging/tracing in Kubernetes

Familiarity with Service Discovery concepts

Proficiency in Cloud Security and CDN concepts, implementation, and configuration

Installation and configuration: Installing various Linux distributions (e.g., Debian), configuring the system kernel, installing software packages, and setting up network and hardware, manually or using Ansible

Troubleshooting and problem resolution: Identifying and resolving system issues, software, and hardware errors (e.g., via ILO)

Software package management and updates: Installing, removing, updating, and managing software package dependencies

Setting up and resizing Kubernetes clusters (adding or removing nodes) using available tools and documentation

Performance optimization: Improving system performance by tuning system parameters

Task automation: Using Configuration Management tools or scripting to automate repetitive tasks

On-call availability for emergencies and weekly shifts

Documentation: Preparing technical documentation for systems and processes
