Manage Add-ons

Add-ons install additional optional capabilities in a cluster. During cluster creation or from Add-ons, you can choose which add-ons are installed in your cluster.

When Cluster management by Kubit is enabled, Kubit's management components are installed in the cluster. You can also select an available Kubchi project for the management namespaces. Those namespaces are then connected to the project, and their connections can later be managed from Kubchi.

When this option is disabled, KaaS creates a raw cluster without Kubit's management layer. Dependent add-ons cannot be selected until Kubit management is enabled. After Kubit management is enabled on an existing cluster, it cannot be disabled from the panel.

1. Turn on the add-on switch.
2. If Config appears, enter all requested values.
3. Select Confirm and save.

The panel provides add-ons such as Ingress, certificate management, shared storage, autoscaling, API event logging, or cluster log collection. Read each add-on's description before enabling it; options and required values may differ between environments.

An add-on that depends on Kubit management cannot be selected for a raw cluster. Machine-group autoscaling also requires Cluster Autoscaler. If a machine group uses autoscaling, the panel warns before removing Autoscaler because this feature will no longer work correctly after removal.

Disabling an add-on removes its managed components. First check whether applications use its IngressClass, certificate issuer, StorageClass, Volume, or other resources. Removing a Controller does not necessarily convert application resources or leave them in a usable state.
